In 1878, Thanasis Gatsios founded the first distillery in Epirus and produced the “Meltemi” ouzo, which remains renowned to this day.
A perfectly balanced distillate made from six different seeds and fruits (anise, coriander, lemon, orange, mastic, and angelica root), which has won awards at numerous international exhibitions for its unique flavor and exceptional quality.
Today, the fourth generation of the family continues the tradition, always adhering to the founder’s original recipe.
