Our distillery was founded
in 1878 by Thanasis Gatsios.

The crossroads of the West and the East, the crossroads of cultures and flavors.
In Istanbul, Thanasis Gatsios is “initiated” into the aromatic world of herbs and the secrets of traditional distillation.
Syrrako. In 1878, Thanasis Gatsios returned to the historic village and founded the first distillery in the Epirus region.
There, recipes from Constantinople, passion, and craftsmanship “blend” harmoniously, creating top-quality ouzo, tsipouro, brandy, and liqueurs in a variety of flavors.
The same family continues
the tradition to this day
Soon, the quality of the products was recognized, and their reputation spread rapidly both within and beyond Greece’s borders, winning gold medals at competitions in Athens (1904), Marseille (1904), Bordeaux (1904), Liège (1905), Milan (1908), and Brussels (1930). Arta. In 2007, Gatsios Distillery Ltd. acquired its own facilities on the banks of the Arachthos River.

OUR FACILITIES
With two state-of-the-art bottling lines capable of producing up to 6,000 bottles per hour, the company’s products have rapidly expanded into 12 countries abroad.
Today, the fourth generation of the Gatsios family continues its long-standing tradition with the same dedication, producing traditional alcoholic beverages using carefully selected, pure ingredients from Greek producers, the same recipes and distillation methods, and, above all, by ensuring the quality, aroma, and distinctive flavor of its products—values that have remained unchanged since 1878.
